It’s been 10 years into health care and this has been the best experience of my life.
I literally learnt empathy, sympathy, have seen panic, happiness, joy, sorrow. Saw healthcare workers (Heroes) be it doctors, Nursing staff, Housekeeping, Security in the hospitals always helping patients, keeping their moral up, showing them a ray of hope.
However, this year is unusual. I never understood healthcare better than today. Today, the world is going through a medical emergency COVID-19 . Lives of people changed in last few months; people are locked in their Houses world over. World was running in its fastest pace to which COVID 19 pulled the breaks and brought the world to stand still.
However, healthcare is still moving in its best capacity in this hour of need. Knowing there is no treatment available for COVID 19 and is highly contagious, our heroes are still standing strongly day and night to treat/help patients.
Heroes are not born, they become heroes by their actions. They too have families; they are also worried somewhere inside to catch the infection. But the day they decided to choose healthcare as their profession they made a commitment to self of putting their patients first.
It is too early to say that India has been lucky in managing COVID19 , we have a long way to go and our heroes will play a vital role here.
Let us be responsible towards human race, our children. Let’s support our Heroes, let’s Stay at home.
